A Brief Overview Provides care in a medical practice office or clinic under the direction of a provider. Maintains a clean and safe environment, provide patient care and provide patients with information. Provides mentoring for Level I Medical Assistants in the same physician office. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in The Methodist Mission, Vision and Values. What you will do Proactively fulfills patient care responsibilities as requested by physician or other clinicians in the physician office. Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned that may include setting up exam room, instruments, and other equipment. Fulfills clinical medical assisting responsibilities as required. Education/Formal Training Requirements Required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
- Technical Degree or Diploma Medical Assistant Work Experience Requirements Required
- Medical Assistant or similar 3-5 years Licenses and Certifications Requirements Required

- AAMA Certified Medical Assistant
- The American Association of Medical Assistants Preferred
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- National Healthcareer Association Preferred
- AMT Registered Medical Assistant
