Monday - Friday 11am-8pm At Watauga Orthopaedics, our mission is to ensure our patients receive excellent care with a convenient, cooperative, and cost-effective atmosphere by providing experienced and efficient orthopaedic and surgical expertise. We are looking for a reliable, positive person to join our busy Clinical Department. Essential Functions- Dependable and works well within a team setting.
- Maintain a timely and safe clinic that focuses on proper & efficient patient care
- Perform H&P for new patients upon arrival.
- Perform proper documentation in EMR.
- Assist physician or mid-level providers with treating patients as directed.
- Assist with patient education when called upon.
- Application of splints / casts
- Prepare injections , take vital signs when needed , perform dressing changes, suture removal.
- Maintain supplies and restock rooms when needed.
- Issues prescriptions / work orders / home exercises / referrals as directed.
- Perform job requirements without constant supervision.
- Assist answering telephones regarding clinical / medication / appointment questions.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality.
- All other duties assigned Required Education High school or equivalent required Bachelors degree preferred Registered Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Orthopedic Technician/ LPN / CNA / ATC Required Experience Previous work in healthcare setting > 1yr with a preferred background in EMR documentation Prior orthopaedic experience preferred Casting & splinting skills preferred but not a must as will train the right individual.
