Medical Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist Travel between McMinnville and Murfreesboro Premier Foot & Ankle Centers of Tennessee Murfreesboro, TN Job Details Full-time From $16 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Computer operation Vital signs Filing Medical scheduling X-ray Full Job Description Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to): Taking vitals Taking medical histories Rooming patients Explaining treatment procedures to patients Preparing patients for examinations Assisting the physician during examinations Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Setting up in-office surgeries or procedures Instructing patients about conservative and surgical treatment plans with the physician Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections as directed by a physician Transmitting prescription refills as directed Applying and cutting off short leg casts Wound care and changing dressings Assisting in taking and developing x-rays of the foot and ankle Clean, sterilize and prepare surgical instrumentation Clean and turnover exam rooms Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to): Using computer applications Answering telephones Welcoming patients Updating and filing patient medical records Coding and filling out insurance forms Scheduling appointments and surgeries Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services Handling correspondence between physician and other health care providers Assist with office and patient flow where needed Medical assistants are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease in the physician's office and often explain the physician's instructions. Experience is required. Experience with eClinicalWorks EHR software is a plus!
