Job summary:
- Performing the intake process for patients which includes taking patients to exam rooms, getting their blood pressure, recording their history, review of systems, reconciliation of medications
- Preparing patients for examination which may include getting supplies ready, removing bandages, drawing up injections, and related tasks
- Keeping patient information secure and safeguarding medical records
- Contributing to patient scheduling, answering phones, check-in, check-out, as needed
- Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations
- Taking x-rays using our in-office x-ray machine (will assist in obtaining the appropriate certification)
- Other duties as assigned within scope of practice, such as re-bandaging patients, measuring for and modifying orthotics (will teach on the job)
Qualifications:
- Graduate from a Medical Assistant program plus one year of experience, preferred
- Some knowledge of electronic medical records software
