Position Overview As a Medical Assistant at Well Life, you will play an important role in both patient care and the overall patient experience . You will be responsible for obtaining a thorough patient intake, identifying important concerns or changes in a patient's health, preparing the provider for the visit, and helping ensure that patient needs are followed through from start to finish. We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, compassionate, confident, and willing to take ownership of their role. Responsibilities Patient Care Promptly room patients and complete thorough appointment intakes Complete medication reconciliation and update the EMR Collect blood and perform routine laboratory and diagnostic testing as ordered Review patient encounters and initiate appropriate orders, records requests, and follow-up Review and respond to patient voicemails and portal messages Provide attentive, compassionate, and professional patient care Provider Support Prepare providers for scheduled appointments by providing a thorough patient intake and appropriate procedure preparation Assist providers with procedures and treatments as needed Follow through on provider orders, including immunizations, injections, labs, and other treatments Monitor incoming patient results and prescription refill requests and ensure providers are kept up to date Communicate with providers regarding patient concerns, follow-up needs, and outstanding tasks End each day by checking in with your provider to ensure patient needs have been addressed Ancillary Services Learn, perform, and assist with training for ancillary services offered by the practice Take ownership of an ancillary service that interests you and help provide that service regularly to patients Continue learning about the services and therapies offered at Well Life What We're Looking For CMA preferred , but we will consider a non-certified Medical Assistant, EMT, phlebotomist, or other qualified candidate with substantial hands-on medical experience Previous clinical experience in a medical office or healthcare setting Comfortable with blood draws, injections, and routine clinical procedures Friendly, professional, and confident communication style Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Proactive and able to recognize what needs to be done without always being asked Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems and technology quickly Interested in learning about integrative, functional, and holistic approaches to healthcare Positive attitude and a genuine desire to help patients What You'll Love About Well Life Competitive pay + potential bonuses Employee discounts on services and products Regular business hours and a supportive team environment Opportunities to learn new skills and expand your role Career growth within a growing integrative medical practice The opportunity to work alongside providers who take a whole-person approach to healthcare A team culture built around Creativity, Aspiration, Reason, and Encouragement Interested in Joining Our Team?
