Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role combines front-office administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess a strong foundation in medical procedures and patient service. You will play a vital role in supporting clinical staff, managing patient interactions, and maintaining accurate medical records within a fast-paced outpatient. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and current medications during patient intake. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking X-rays, administering medications, and performing basic life support when necessary. Support physicians and nurses by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and handling specimen collection. Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and coordinate referrals to specialists or other departments. Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding for diagnoses, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive healthcare experience. Experience Previous clinic or hospital experience in outpatient or inpatient settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of internal medicine, geriatrics, or medical-surgical specialties is advantageous. Familiarity with eClinicalworks systems and medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation. Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs measurement, intake procedures, and basic anatomy or physiology knowledge. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as X-ray operation or medication administration are beneficial.

From $19.00 per hour
