We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with strong phlebotomy skills to join our outpatient clinical team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent patient-care skills, and is highly proficient in blood collection and specimen handling. Key Responsibilities Room patients efficiently and accurately. Obtain and document vital signs, medication lists, allergies, and patient histories. Prepare patients for examination and assist providers throughout the patient visit. Perform venipuncture and blood collection on patients with varying levels of difficulty. Properly identify, label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. Maintain proper specimen-handling procedures and documentation. Perform point-of-care testing as trained and authorized. Administer injections and medications as permitted by training, organizational policy, and applicable requirements. Perform EKGs and other clinical testing as assigned. Assist with referrals, laboratory orders, diagnostic testing, and follow-up tasks. Document patient information accurately and promptly in the EHR. Process telephone encounters and clinical messages according to established workflows. Maintain clean, stocked, and properly prepared exam and laboratory areas. Monitor clinical supplies and communicate inventory needs. Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and organizational policies. Work closely with providers, nursing staff, laboratory personnel, and front-desk staff to maintain efficient patient flow. Required Qualifications Medical Assistant training and/or previous medical assisting experience. Strong phlebotomy skills required. Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture confidently and safely. Knowledge of specimen collection, labeling, handling, and processing. Strong patient communication and customer-service skills. Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy. Strong attention to detail and documentation. Dependable attendance and professional conduct. Preferred Qualifications Previous outpatient medical-office experience. eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience strongly preferred. Experience with point-of-care testing, injections, EKGs, and laboratory workflows. Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between direct patient care, phlebotomy, clinical documentation, and provider support throughout the workday.
