They will work alongside the physician and nurse practitioners to provide quality patient care. Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to): Using computer applications Greeting all patients Updating and filing out patient medical records and forms Document information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books. Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to): Triage Take medical histories Explain treatment procedures to patients Prepare patients for examination Assist the physician during exams Perform basic laboratory tests Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations Administer medications as directed by a physician Remove sutures and change dressings
