Job description: Pioneer Medical Associates PLLC is seeking a professional, highly organized Bilingual Medical Front Office Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for our busy office. You will balance patient-facing customer service with vital administrative tasks to keep our clinic running efficiently. The ideal candidate has excellent multitasking abilities, a warm demeanor, and a solid understanding of medical office workflows. This position is full-time.

Pay:
From $16.00 per hour to $21.00 per hour
Hours:
Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm

High school or equivalent (Preferred) Key Responsibilities Patient Reception & Check-In Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival to establish a welcoming environment. Manage the patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently. Distribute, explain, and collect necessary intake forms and new patient paperwork. Verify patient identity and scan insurance cards into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. Accurately enter/update patient demographics and insurance information. Notify clinical staff and physicians of patient arrivals to maintain steady clinic flow. Scheduling & Communication Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments based on provider availability. Financial & Administrative Support Collect patient co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding account balances during check-out. Coordinate insurance verification and assist with tracking patient referrals. Maintain standard office inventory by monitoring, ordering, and organizing administrative supplies. Compliance & Safety Protect patient confidentiality by strictly adhering to all HIPAA rules and guidelines. Secure physical medical files and log off computers when leaving the front desk unattended. Maintain a clean, sterile, and professional appearance in the waiting area and reception lobby.
Skills and Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a medical front office or a clinic reception role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with medical scheduling software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
Soft Skills:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on empathetic customer service.
Multitasking:
Proven ability to manage ringing phones, computer data entry, and in-person patient questions simultaneously.
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of healthcare insurance plans and foundational medical terminology. Paid time off Vision insurance
