Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable working with both medical and behavioral health patients, and interested in helping build a positive patient experience from the beginning. This position will work closely with the provider and will assist with both clinical and administrative responsibilities. Responsibilities Greet and room patients Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, and BMI Review and update medications, allergies, and medical history Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Perform medication reconciliation Administer injections as ordered and within training/scope Perform point-of-care testing and collect specimens as directed Assist with EKGs and other routine clinical procedures Assist with IV wellness preparation and patient monitoring after appropriate training Complete PHQ-2/PHQ-9, GAD-7, and other screening questionnaires as assigned Assist with obesity/weight-management visits Prepare examination rooms and maintain appropriate supplies Clean and disinfect clinical areas between patients Answer telephone calls and assist with patient scheduling Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, medical records, and prescription-related communications Use the EHR accurately for documentation and workflow Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Provide courteous and professional service to patients and families Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Medical Assistant training/certificate preferred Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/CCMA/RMA) preferred but not required for the right candidate Current BLS/CPR certification preferred Previous outpatient medical office experience preferred Experience with primary care, behavioral health, weight management, or IV wellness is a plus Comfortable with computers and electronic health records Strong communication and organizational skills Dependable, punctual, professional, and compassionate Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a small practice environment Willingness to learn and grow as the practice expands This is an opportunity to join a new practice from the beginning and help shape a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered clinical environment. Pay:
$17.00 - $23.00 per hour
