Overview:
The Medical Assistant works under the healthcare providers to assist with maintaining efficient patient flow. and quality care during clinic hours. This position assist the supervisors and works as part of a health team including physicians, NPs/PA's.
Responsibilies:
1. Helps patients by providing information, services, and assitance. 2. Maintains medical supplies inventory and performing preventive maintance to keep medical equipment operating. 3. Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit. 4. Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical test; taking blood pressure, weigh, and temperature; and reporting patient history summary. 5. Saves doctors' time by helping with office procedures.
