Medical Assistant - Urology Rhize Urology Edinburg, TX Job Details Full-time From $14 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Bilingual Spanish Customer communication Patient monitoring English Medical scheduling EMR/EHR Medical terminology Full Job Description Job Overview On our healthcare team you'll provide essential support in our Urology office, helping keep clinic operations running smoothly and patient documentation accurate. We need someone proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced setting, with a genuine commitment to compassionate patient care. Responsibilities Assist urology providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring all clinical tasks are performed efficiently and accurately. Prepare patients for appointments by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly. Perform clinical duties such as, medication administration, and collection of specimens following established protocols. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring precise documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans. Support administrative functions including patient intake, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and maintaining medical records. Ensure compliance with safety standards by monitoring infection control practices and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex urological conditions, including those requiring inpatient or emergency services. Skills Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding related to urology and general medicine. Proven experience in medical office management, including EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations. Hands-on experience with, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS). Ability to handle medical documentation accurately while adhering to privacy regulations and standards. Knowledge of medical assisting practices within specialties like urgent care, geriatrics, or hospital medicine is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must. Pay:
From $14.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
