Job Description
Overview Join our team as a Medical Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care at our Family Medicine Clinic. In this position, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by managing clinical tasks, assisting with patient procedures, and ensuring smooth operations within the clinic. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and valued, all while maintaining high standards of medical documentation and administrative support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Duties Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers during patient visits, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing necessary supplies. Perform clinical procedures such as injections, ear lavage and medication administration when directed. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans. Assist with patient intake processes, including verifying insurance information, updating medical records, and explaining procedures to patients. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is required. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR management). Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately. Ability to perform injections accurately and efficiently while maintaining patient comfort. Demonstrated understanding of medical assisting techniques including medication administration and vital signs measurement. Excellent organizational skills for managing medical documentation and supporting medical office management tasks.
