Job Description

Job Overview Immediate Care Centers of Texas is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant / Front Desk associate who will handle both clinical support and registration duties. This role is the patient's first point of contact. Our Urgent Care in Ennis, TX is open 7am-7pm Monday-Saturday and offers on-site X-ray, and laboratory services.
Shifts:
7am-7pm, Monday-Saturday Responsibilities Patient Registration Greet patients on arrival and verify their information. Complete the registration process, including demographic and insurance verification. Collect co-pays and process payments. Keep the reception area tidy and professional at all times. Clinical Support Prepare treatment rooms, take vital signs, and triage patients. Document patient medical history in the EMR system. Assist the RN with collecting and preparing lab specimens and performing basic lab tests. Administer medications and assist with procedures under supervision. Support patients through discharge, assisting the RN as needed to ensure excellent care. Answer incoming calls professionally, respond to patient inquiries, and manage correspondence. Monitor faxes and emails, handle scanning, and maintain organized patient records. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant or CNA program. Current BLS certification. Previous experience in a fast-paced urgent care preferred. Strong self-starter, able to work independently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in medical terminology and familiar with EMR systems. Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills. Flexible to work both medical assistant and front desk duties as needed. Administrative experience demonstrating reliability and professionalism.

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
