In this vital role, you will manage and organize patient medical records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and easy accessibility. Your efforts will support seamless clinical operations and enhance patient care by maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date documentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment where precision and efficiency are paramount. Responsibilities Organize, file, and maintain patient medical records in accordance with privacy regulations and organizational policies Retrieve and update electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately to reflect current patient information Ensure all medical records are complete, legible, and properly stored for quick retrieval by authorized personnel Assist clinical staff with documentation requests, record audits, and data entry tasks Verify patient information for accuracy during record updates or transfers Maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical information at all times Support the transition to digital record-keeping by assisting with scanning and indexing paper documents Qualifications Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical records management software Strong understanding of medical terminology to accurately interpret and organize records Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative staff Knowledge of medical record retention policies and privacy regulations such as HIPAA is a plus
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
