• thrives in a high-pressure environment Primary Duties Greet Patients, answer phones Check-in and check-out patients Schedule and Reschedule Patient Appointments Obtain and Verify Insurance Collect Co-pays, payments, and balances Create and Review patient invoices to submit to the billing department.

Scanning Medical Records in Patient's chart Acting as a scribe for physician Room set up and sterilization Obtain and Monitor Office Supplies Billing and insurance knowledge Assist cosmetic, medical, and surgical procedures Documentation of patient's chief complaint, obtain patient history Presenting patient to Doctor Chart and Scribe with accuracy, staying five steps ahead of Physician Assist with surgical and cosmetic procedures/treatments as needed administer patient education, basic wound care, suture removal, and phlebotomy Phone calls, arrange appointments, refill requests & pathology logs and biopsy results Secondary Duties Prepare patients for the health care visit, including drawing blood, taking vitals when needed and preparing rooms for patient encounters. Completes records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential. Serves and protects the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies, and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Requirements:

Full time M in one-year Requirement ​ Successful candidates will graduate or have graduated from a four-year college or university with a strong undergraduate education and all pre-medical requirements satisfied. A Letter of recommendation may be provided upon satisfactory participation in this program. Intention to matriculate in an MD/DO, MD-PhD program, PA, or nursing program at the conclusion of the bridge-years is required.
