Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties that ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality service. Whether working in outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or specialized departments such as dermatology, emergency medicine, or geriatrics, you will be at the forefront of delivering compassionate, efficient care. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit Support physicians with clinical tasks such as administering medications, performing basic X-ray procedures, or assisting with minor surgical procedures in outpatient or inpatient settings Conduct basic physiology assessments and support patients with diverse needs across specialties like internal medicine, geriatrics, or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) Manage medical documentation including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure precise billing and recordkeeping Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards such as Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications Experience Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics with exposure to Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions such as scheduling and patient correspondence Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration practices across various specialties including emergency medicine and medical-surgical units Familiarity with hospital procedures including X-ray operations and inpatient care workflows Previous clinic experience supporting diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU) is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments like Level I trauma centers or busy outpatient clinics while maintaining excellent patient service standards Join us in making a difference through dedicated patient care!
