Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide both direct patient care and support in administrative tasks. The primary goal is to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation, enhancing patient satisfaction and clinic efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Direct Patient Care:

Greeting patients as they arrive in the clinic. Escorting patients from the waiting area or lobby to the exam room. Taking and documenting vital signs in the computer system. Inquiring about current medications, allergies, and any new symptoms or changes. Asking specific questions as requested by the physician, such as whether a patient is on chemotherapy. Administrative Tasks (to be transitioned to later): Scheduling on-treatment visits in the system. Performing chart preparation, including gathering records and following up on record requests. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant. Confident in their skills with at least 1 year of experience. Family Practice or Pediatric background preferred. Experience triaging patients; some patients are older so need patience. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
