•This is a Lead MA role and requires prior leadership experience

Major Responsibilities Prepare patient charts by collecting necessary records. Bring patients to exam room and take vitals. Interview patients and document reason for visit and medical history Update and file medical records and insurance reports Assist during medical examinations Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Ensure necessary supplies are readily available. Prepare and clean exam rooms and medical instruments. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Skills Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is required. Typing skills with a speed of at least 40-50 wpm EMR experience is required. Experience with Athena Health is a plus Must have knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Degree in medical assistance
