Senior Medical Assistant - Clinical Operations & Leadership Track SEVA Healthcare | Lewisville & Rowlett, Texas Full-Time | In-Person | Long-Term Career Opportunity SEVA Healthcare is seeking an experienced, high-performing Medical Assistant to join our Texas clinical operations team. This is not intended to be a short-term or transitional MA position. We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career in healthcare operations and has the potential to grow into clinical leadership and management responsibilities. The right candidate will initially become deeply proficient in our day-to-day clinical operations while progressively taking ownership of staff coordination, workflows, quality, service-line execution, and operational improvement. This position supports both our Lewisville and Rowlett locations , and candidates must be comfortable working at either location based on operational needs. What You Will Do The position begins with strong execution of core Medical Assistant responsibilities, including patient intake and rooming, medication reconciliation, vital signs, clinical documentation, procedure preparation and assistance, coordination of imaging/referrals/authorizations, EMR management, patient communication, and maintaining efficient patient flow. However, we are specifically hiring for someone capable of growing beyond traditional MA responsibilities. As competency is demonstrated, the individual will progressively participate in: Coordinating daily clinical workflows and staff assignments Training and onboarding new clinical staff Monitoring documentation and workflow compliance Identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing solutions Supporting provider schedules and clinic efficiency Managing clinical inventory and procedure readiness Tracking clinical and operational performance metrics Supporting growth of ancillary and procedural service lines Developing and improving SOPs Holding team members accountable to established workflows Communicating operational issues and proposed solutions to management Taking increasing ownership of clinic operations and leadership responsibilities Our goal is to develop the right individual into a Lead MA and ultimately a clinical operations/management role based on performance, leadership ability, and organizational needs. Minimum Qualifications Applicants should meet all or nearly all of the following: Minimum 2 years of full-time Medical Assistant or comparable outpatient clinical experience Strong hands-on knowledge of outpatient clinical workflows Demonstrated proficiency with an electronic medical record system Excellent written and verbal communication Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to independently prioritize competing responsibilities High attention to detail and documentation accuracy Demonstrated reliability and professional maturity Comfortable providing and receiving direct feedback Ability to work effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, administrative teams, and patients Ability and willingness to work at both Lewisville and Rowlett locations Genuine interest in healthcare operations and leadership Seeking a long-term healthcare career , rather than a temporary clinical experience Strongly Preferred Preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following: 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience Lead MA, supervisor, trainer, or clinic coordinator experience Pain management, orthopedics, spine, PM&R, neurology, urology, or other procedure-based specialty experience Experience assisting with outpatient procedures eClinicalWorks experience Experience training or onboarding employees Experience creating or improving clinical workflows/SOPs Experience tracking KPIs or operational performance Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, health sciences, or a related discipline MHA/MBA coursework or demonstrated interest in healthcare administration Who Will Excel in This Position We are looking for someone who notices a problem and asks, "How can we fix this?" rather than waiting to be told what to do. The strongest candidate will be clinically capable but also understand the bigger picture of running a medical practice: patient experience, staff performance, provider efficiency, documentation, compliance, scheduling, revenue-generating service lines, and operational execution. You should be comfortable being held to a high standard and eventually holding others to that same standard.
