Orthopedic Medical Assistant We are seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our orthopedic practice. This position works closely with an orthopedic physician to provide efficient, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with patients, able to multitask, and willing to learn orthopedic-specific clinical skills. Previous medical assistant or orthopedic experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Room patients and obtain medical histories, current symptoms, medications, and other relevant information Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist providers with patient examinations and in-office procedures Prepare and assist with joint and soft-tissue injections and aspirations, including ultrasound-guided procedures Prepare medications and supplies for injections as directed by the provider Apply and remove casts, splints, braces, and other orthopedic devices Perform dressing changes and assist with suture or staple removal Provide patients with instructions regarding braces, casts, wound care, medications, imaging, and treatment plans Communicate with imaging facilities, pharmacies, physical therapy offices, and other healthcare facilities regarding patient care Schedule follow-up appointments and help coordinate patient care Prepare exam rooms and ensure rooms are stocked with necessary supplies Clean and maintain clinical equipment and patient care areas Answer patient questions and communicate concerns to the appropriate provider Assist with maintaining efficient clinic flow, especially during high-volume clinic days Communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, front-office staff, and other members of the healthcare team Complete additional clinical and administrative duties as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant experience preferred Orthopedic or surgical experience is a plus Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required •Must have experience with blood draws/phlebotomy• Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy clinical environment Comfortable working directly with patients and performing hands-on clinical tasks Ability to work independently while also functioning well as part of a healthcare team Willingness to learn orthopedic procedures and terminology Basic computer and EMR proficiency Dependable, punctual, professional, and willing to take initiative Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Friendly and compassionate with patients Reliable and willing to take ownership of their responsibilities Detail-oriented, particularly when handling imaging orders, documentation, and patient information Comfortable asking questions and learning new clinical skills Able to remain organized while managing several tasks at once A team player who is willing to help wherever needed Confident communicating with patients, providers, insurance companies, and outside facilities Interested in gaining extensive hands-on experience in orthopedics Physical Requirements This position may require prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the clinic, assisting patients with mobility, and lifting or moving clinical supplies and equipment. The employee must also be comfortable performing hands-on patient care. Schedule Part-time- Monday, Wednesday, Friday 20-25 hrs. (willing to work with a school schedule) Full-time- 40 hrs. a week Specific clinic hours and schedule will be discussed during the interview process. The Medical Assistant will gain experience with orthopedic examinations, injections, casting, imaging coordination, post-operative care, and a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and procedures.

Pay:
