Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where your energy and dedication will directly enhance patient experiences and streamline clinic operations. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service while supporting clinical staff with essential medical tasks. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced medical environment, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all patients and visitors. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate follow-up visits to optimize clinic efficiency Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and perform basic clinical procedures such as phlebotomy and medication administration under supervision Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD coding, medical records management, and detailed notes in EMR/EHR systems Support administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing patient inquiries, and handling insurance or billing questions Ensure compliance with safety protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and infection control standards Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Strong background in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or inpatient care settings; experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly valued Skilled in electronic health records (EHR/EMR) management, medical documentation, ICD coding, and medical records organization Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent; familiarity with pharmacology and medication administration preferred Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures in various specialties including geriatrics and OR settings Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support accurate patient assessments and documentation Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment Join us to make a meaningful difference by delivering top-tier patient care while supporting our healthcare team's success.
