Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in diverse clinical settings such as dermatology clinics, hospital wards, or urgent care centers. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient symptoms accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort while maintaining confidentiality. Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) when necessary. Manage medical documentation meticulously, including medical records, ICD coding for diagnoses, and detailed notes on patient interactions. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and handling patient intake processes efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols in hospital or outpatient settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or inpatient units. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with a strong background in medical office support and clinical procedures. Knowledge of dermatology practices, hospital medicine protocols, urgent care workflows, and inpatient care environments. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as Phlebotomy or Pharmacology are advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration processes. Previous experience working in hospital settings or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations.
