Duties Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to support accurate diagnosis and treatment plans Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit Support clinical procedures including medication administration, wound care, X-ray assistance, and basic life support (BLS) when needed Document patient interactions accurately using medical terminology and ICD coding for billing and record-keeping purposes Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to infection control standards in outpatient clinics Experience Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in hospital environments or outpatient clinics is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medication administration procedures Hands-on experience with EHR systems for documentation and patient data management Familiarity with ICD coding for diagnoses and billing processes in various medical specialties including internal medicine or medical-surgical units Ability to perform clinical tasks such as phelbotomy, vital signs collection, intake procedures, and inpatient care support effectively Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to dermatology or hospital medicine are a plus Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to providing compassionate, efficient healthcare.
