Thanatology Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide quality patient care and assist healthcare providers in a clinical setting from 9am-1pm M-F.
Duties:
  • Perform patient intake procedures including measuring vital signs, height, weight, and medical history documentation.
  • Able to administer vaccines and injections to newborns and toddlers.
  • Able to perform basic front desk duties; patients registration, checking in-out, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility and collecting payments.
  • Assist healthcare providers with medical examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications under the direction of a physician
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information
  • Maintain medical supplies inventory and ensure equipment is in working order
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and protocols
Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited institution.
  • 2 years experience in pediatric office is required.
  • Can administer injections and vaccinations to newborn.
  • Proficiency in patient service, medical coding, and medication administration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
