WHAT YOU'LL DO
Patient Care & Clinical Support Escort patients to examination rooms and accurately record vital signs & medical history in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system . Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments , ensuring seamless coordination and patient comfort. Record symptoms, diagnoses, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions with precision. Communicate with patients' families when necessary to gather medical history and provide compassionate support. Medical Coordination & Documentation Order and track physician-directed lab tests, radiology tests, medications, and procedures with attention to detail. Support scheduling and prior authorizations , ensuring timely approvals for necessary treatments. Maintain organized and accurate patient records while upholding HIPAA compliance. Team Collaboration & Professionalism Work closely with physicians, staff, and management to enhance clinic efficiency and optimize patient flow . Uphold a professional appearance and conduct that reflects our commitment to excellence. Take initiative in assisting with additional duties and process improvements as needed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
✅ Experience & Education 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting . High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant training preferred . Prior experience in pain management or orthopedic surgery is a plus. ✅ Skills & Certifications Proficiency in EMR systems (AthenaNet EMR experience preferred). Strong computer and administrative skills to support documentation and patient coordination. Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus! Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications preferred .
