We are willing to train the right candidate who is dependable, eager to learn, and committed to providing excellent patient care. Spanish/English bilingual candidates are strongly preferred. Responsibilities Greet patients and prepare them for examination Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medications, allergies, and medical history Perform medication reconciliation Prepare and maintain examination rooms Assist providers during examinations and procedures Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider Perform EKGs, glucose testing, urinalysis, and other in-office testing Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory processing Communicate laboratory and imaging results according to provider instructions Process prescription refill requests Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and medical documentation Respond professionally to patient calls and electronic messages Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and clinic safety requirements Clean and disinfect examination rooms and medical equipment Work cooperatively with providers, front-office employees, and clinical staff Complete other clinical or administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Medical Assistant certification is not required Previous medical-office experience is helpful but not required Spanish/English bilingual ability is strongly preferred Willingness to learn clinical procedures and medical terminology Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills Ability to remain professional and compassionate in a busy environment Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team Ability to protect confidential patient information Basic computer skills CPR/BLS certification is preferred but may be obtained after hiring What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help patients.
