The Medical Assistant will support providers and clinical staff with patient care, room preparation, documentation, and daily clinic operations while helping provide an efficient and positive patient experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced outpatient environment and is looking for a part-time clinical schedule. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures. Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and other relevant patient information. Prepare exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care. Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and in-office procedures. Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Assist with medication reconciliation and prescription-related workflows as directed by the provider. Perform basic clinical duties and testing within the Medical Assistant's scope and training. Provide patients with instructions and education as directed by the provider. Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, medical records, and other clinical follow-up as needed. Maintain appropriate infection-control and safety standards. Clean and sterilize instruments and clinical equipment according to established procedures. Help maintain patient flow and communicate delays or concerns to the appropriate team members. Work collaboratively with providers, front-office staff, and other members of the clinical team. Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous Medical Assistant or clinical support experience preferred. Experience in ENT, allergy, primary care, or another outpatient specialty is a plus. Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required. Strong communication and patient-service skills. Comfortable working with electronic medical records and basic computer systems. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy clinical environment. Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
