Medical Assistant - Job Duties Assist the provider during patient visits. Document accurately in paper charts for the provider. Assist with prescriptions and medication refills. Complete and follow up on prior authorizations . Assist with patient forms and paperwork. Carry out provider orders and instructions. Communicate with pharmacies, patients, and parents as needed. Ensure charts and paperwork are complete and signed when required. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines. Help maintain efficient patient flow in a fast-paced pediatric clinic. Be willing to cross-train and assist in other departments as needed .
