About Our Practice Arborshade Dermatology is a new solo physician dermatology practice located in Richardson. We offer medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services. Our practice strives to provide outstanding, comprehensive, and personalized dermatologic care that empowers our patients to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. This unique opportunity offers the chance to play an important role in shaping our practice team's culture, growth, and impact on our community. We have a fixed, reliable office schedule with no night or weekend hours. The practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an hour-long break for lunch. We are open to both full-time and part-time arrangements based on candidate qualifications and coverage needs. As a dermatology assistant for a small practice, your role would consist of assisting with both front office and back office tasks. Prior experience > 1 year in a dermatology practice is preferred, but NOT required. Front Desk/Medical Assistant Role:
Greet patients with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing excellent service at all times Schedule appointments and maintain the clinic schedule Answer phone calls and redirect them as appropriate Assist with patient inquiries and provide information regarding practice policies and services offered Process patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed Verify insurance benefits Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other amounts due Room patients and assist with triaging patient concerns Accurately document history, exam findings, and basic assessment/plan templates in dermatology-specific EHR designed for medical assistant data entry Assist the physician during exams and procedures Assist with counseling patients on common procedures, medications, and care instructions Clean and sterilize medical instruments Remove sutures for post-operative and post-procedural visits Contact patients to relay lab and pathology results once reviewed by the physician Stock inventory Maintain a clean clinic environment Assist with other responsibilities as needed Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a dermatology office is preferred but NOT required Excellent opportunity for pre-med students in a gap year Previous experience with insurance verification is preferred but not required Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in computer and electronic tablet use and typing Attention to detail and accuracy when completing tasks are essential Professional attitude and appearance
Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
