Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where you will be the friendly face and efficient coordinator at the front desk and clinical support areas. This vital role combines patient-facing responsibilities with administrative support, ensuring smooth operations within a fast-paced medical environment. You will assist with patient intake, vital signs, medical documentation, and basic clinical procedures, all while delivering exceptional patient service. Your energetic and organized approach will contribute to a positive experience for every patient and support the seamless functioning of our medical practice. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate check-in processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Collect and record vital signs, perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy and medication administration under supervision Assist healthcare providers with procedures including anatomy and physiology support, ICD coding, and medication management Manage patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards and confidentiality protocols Schedule appointments, handle incoming calls, and coordinate patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times Support clinical staff with tasks related to hospital medicine, urgent care, dermatology, geriatrics, or inpatient care as needed Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety standards such as Basic Life Support (BLS) protocols Experience Prior experience working in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential Experience with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and pharmacology enhances your effectiveness in this role Hands-on clinical skills such as phlebotomy, vital signs collection, medication administration, and basic patient care are desirable Hospital or Level I/II trauma center experience, including inpatient or OR experience, is a plus Demonstrated ability to manage medical records accurately and support medical assisting functions in fast-paced settings Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate care and efficient administrative support.
