We diagnose and treat sleep apnea and related disorders through CPAP therapy, oral appliance therapy, and home sleep testing. Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support providers and guide patients through intake, sleep study coordination, CPAP therapy, and oral appliance treatment. Sleep Medicine Focus:
Room patients, take vitals, and document sleep and medical histories Educate patients on sleep apnea, home sleep testing, and treatment options Assist with CPAP setup and compliance review Support oral appliance therapy (OAT) Coordinate HST setup, instructions, distribution, and return Document patient encounters accurately in the
EHR Administrative:
Prepare new patient visits, follow-ups, and sleep study referrals Triage CPAP, refill, sleep study, and sleep-related questions Coordinate referrals with physicians and sleep labs Manage
CPAP/DME
requests and authorizations Maintain full HIPAA compliance at all times Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) Current CPR/BLS certification Minimum 1 year of clinical medical assistant experience (excluding rotations) Comfortable discussing medical topics with empathy and in plain language Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple patients and tasks Preferred Qualifications Proficient with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EHR Experience in sleep medicine, pulmonology, ENT, or dental sleep medicine Hands-on experience with CPAP equipment, masks, and supplies Familiarity with oral appliance therapy (OAT) workflows Experience with DME insurance authorization and billing Bilingual — English and Spanish Familiarity with home sleep testing (HST) equipment and protocols Benefits Competitive pay commensurate with experience Paid time off and paid holidays Continuing education and professional development support Daytime weekday hours — no nights, no weekends Collaborative, mission-driven team environment Lucid Sleep Experts is an equal opportunity employer.
