vaccination is required for this position. Responsibilities Welcome and prepare patients for their appointments. Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, allergy testing, immunotherapy, pulmonary function testing, and other clinical duties. Administer injections and medications within scope of practice. Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR). Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms between patients. Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions. Coordinate laboratory testing, referrals, and prescription requests as directed. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards. Work collaboratively with providers, front office staff, and fellow Medical Assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations. Occasionally provide coverage at our Stone Oak clinic based on operational needs (travel reimbursement will be given). Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent). Current BLS/CPR certification preferred. Previous Medical Assistant experience in a physician office preferred. Allergy and asthma experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Experience with electronic medical records (Practice Fusion experience is a plus). Strong knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and compassionate patient care. Reliable transportation to travel between clinic locations when needed. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist wherever needed.
