Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and current medications using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort Support physicians with clinical tasks such as administering medications, drawing blood, performing X-rays, and assisting during minor procedures Monitor patient physiology including vital signs, oxygen levels, and other relevant parameters to ensure optimal care Document clinical notes accurately in EHR systems while adhering to medical terminology standards Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with safety standards. Conduct basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary and assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare providers Perform routine laboratory tasks such as specimen collection or processing in a clinical environment Provide compassionate patient care and ensure safety protocols are followed Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a clinical setting. Knowledge of urgent care settings is advantageous Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ICD coding or X-ray technician training are a plus Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to support diverse patient needs is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and administrative tasks.
