Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care in a private practice setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient environments, including OB-GYN clinics. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Perform basic life support when necessary and assist with emergency procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and ensure efficient clinic operations. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care strategies. Uphold cleanliness and safety standards within the clinic or hospital environment. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a OB/GYN office is required. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques is essential. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory. Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned that may include setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocols; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; and restocking exam/procedure rooms.
