Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications, including injections and inhalations, as directed by healthcare providers
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment for use
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
  • Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general healthcare topics
  • Assist with medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and coding medical procedures
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Experience:
  • Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic life support procedures
  • Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
  • Proficiency in medication administration techniques, including injections and inhalations
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare providers and patients
  • Exceptional patient service skills to provide compassionate care and support to patients
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Ability to perform medical administrative tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Familiarity with coding systems such as ICD-10-CM and CPT is a plus
