Certified Medical Assistant

Bellaire Allergy & Asthma, LLC is a private clinic that treats patients with a variety of allergic diseases. We take care of both adult and pediatric patients and are unique in that we treat each patient in a nurturing and friendly environment. Dr. Rajan is the sole provider and prides herself in developing long-lasting, meaningful relationships with her patients. Bellaire Allergy & Asthma is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant with 1-2 years of experience to add to our team of professionals. The ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable dealing directly with patients and healthcare providers and will have an understanding of the medical field and the desire to learn more. We are looking for someone very detail-oriented, friendly and can handle the pressures of a busy medical office.

Responsibilities:

Greet patients, visitors and staff upon arrival. Answer phone calls and direct them to the correct person. Book patient appointments Check in and check out patients Collect patient payments Administer subcutaneous allergy immunotherapy injections Obtain vitals/rooming of patients Perform allergy skin tests

Knowledge/Skills:

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service-oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Knowledge of basic first aid procedures. Medical assistant certificate preferred, but not required General knowledge of standard office software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook etc. Experience with Epic preferred Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
