Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your passion for patient care and medical support will make a meaningful difference. This position is paid by a 1099 pay system (taxes not withdrawn). Looking for a candidate with availability M-F, no weekends. Must have valid MA and BLS.

Duties:

Assist with patient intake, recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Start IVs if qualified Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for provider use Support physicians and nurses Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical records, and procedural notes Assist with room turn over and taking patient to POV post discharge Experience Prior experience in medical office settings or healthcare environments such as hospitals or urgent care clinics is highly desirable Knowledge of dermatology, hospital medicine, or trauma center operations (Level I or II trauma experience) is a plus Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems, electronic health records management, and medical records organization Familiarity with pharmacology principles, medication administration procedures, and medication documentation standards Inpatient experience or OR (Operating Room) exposure enhances understanding of complex clinical workflows Geriatric care experience is beneficial for serving diverse patient populations effectively Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy, vital signs collection, ICD coding, and medical assisting tasks with accuracy This paid role is ideal for motivated students or aspiring medical assistants eager to build a solid foundation in patient care while gaining valuable hospital or outpatient clinic experience.
