Medical Assistant Peak Health and Wellness, LLC Farr West, UT Job Details Part-time | Full-time $17 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Peak Health and Wellness specializes in providing patients with a comprehensive range of treatment options, including minimally invasive procedures for back pain, neck pain, joint pain and other chronic pain conditions. Peak Health and Wellness is currently looking for a certified Medical Assistant that will also help with Receptionist duties. Individual must be motivated to work in a demanding yet rewarding work environment. Individual must possess a diverse set of specialized skills that will allow them to effectively and efficiently help patients with various ailments, injuries and illness. Medical Assistant supports physicians and healthcare providers on a daily basis with performing clinical duties: Taking medical histories and providing patient education given by provider regarding treatments. Preparing patients for visit with provider. Assisting physicians and providers during patient exams. Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens. Instructing patients about medication according to provider guidance. Preparing and administering medications as directed by the physician or provider. Using computer applications, such as EMR and EHR to gather/update vital patient information. Coding, scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, billing and bookkeeping. Prior Authorizations. Answering phones, including contacting patients directly. Must also work the front desk. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Must have Medical Assistant Certificate Typical work schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 8:00 A.M - 5:00 P.M in our Farr West location with possible coverage at our Layton office as needed.
