Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly. Assist healthcare providers during clinical procedures Treatments, phlebotomy, medication administration, and emergency interventions. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient information, procedure details, medication records, and ICD coding. Support patient intake processes by verifying insurance information, updating medical records, and coordinating appointments efficiently. Conduct basic laboratory tasks such as blood draws (phlebotomy), specimen handling, processing samples for testing and IV Starts a plus. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions compassionately, ensuring comfort during visits, and facilitating seamless communication between patients and providers. Requirements Proven experience in medical office settings with knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or emergency medicine are a plus. Experience working in Orthopedics and Interventional Spine Procedures in outpatient settings is highly desirable. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
