Job Description

Job Summary The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing high quality clinical and administrative support to providers while ensuring excellent patient care and an efficient workflow. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast paced cardiology practice.
Key Duties:
Obtain and document patient medical histories and reason for visit. Review patient charts and previous medical records prior to appointments. Perform EKGs, manual vital signs, and manual orthostatic blood pressure measurements. Register patients and assist with check-in as needed. Apply and educate patients on heart monitor devices. Assist with patient procedures, injections, and patient education (R&R). Schedule diagnostic testing and follow-up appointments. Maintain stocked exam rooms and assist providers and team members as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant certification preferred (if applicable). Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Eager to learn, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent navigation of stairs. Fast-paced clinical/medical office environment. Regular exposure to patient care areas.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
