Job Description

Job Summary We are searching for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is ready to thrive in a busy specialty practice. We are open to both experienced MAs and candidates from related healthcare backgrounds who are eager to learn. As a Medical Assistant at Lynchburg Nephrology, you will be an essential part of our patient care team.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Assisting physicians and Advanced Practice Providers during patient exams and procedures Performing laboratory specimen collection and processing Accurately documenting patient information within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system Preparing and maintaining clean, organized exam rooms and clinical equipment Scheduling follow-up appointments and coordinating care with the clinical team Providing compassionate patient education and answering general patient inquiries Assisting with prior authorizations and medication refill requests Preferred Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant preferred, but not required Previous clinical experience in a medical office, specialty practice, or hospital setting a plus Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Core Skills and Attributes We Value Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational ability Ability to multi-task calmly in a fast-paced environment Empathy and a sincere commitment to patient-centered care Reliability and professionalism We would love to hear from you!
