This vital role combines front-office patient engagement with clinical support, ensuring a seamless experience for patients and efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical administrative support, clinical procedures, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting various specialties including dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, and outpatient clinics. Paid positions are available, emphasizing the importance of valuing every team member's contribution. Duties Greet and check-in patients with professionalism and warmth, ensuring smooth patient flow from arrival to departure Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and accurately document intake data in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature to support clinical assessments Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures including medication administration, X-ray preparation, and basic anatomy or physiology-related tasks Support clinical documentation by understanding medical terminology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and relevant medical records management Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies, maintain cleanliness, and ensure readiness for outpatient or inpatient procedures Handle administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, answering phones, managing patient inquiries, and coordinating follow-up care Support emergency medicine protocols when needed in urgent or Level I/II trauma center settings, including basic life support (BLS) procedures Qualifications Proven experience supporting clinical environments such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or outpatient clinics Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration practices Familiarity with EHR systems and medical-surgical documentation standards Experience working in hospital settings including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers preferred Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately and efficiently in diverse patient populations including geriatrics and PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) patients Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage intake processes and coordinate patient flow effectively Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or radiology (X-ray) are a plus Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence in outpatient or inpatient settings Join our team to make a meaningful impact on patient health while developing your skills across multiple healthcare disciplines.
