Job Description

Bilingual Spanish/English Required We are a growing, physician-led medical practice in Vienna, Virginia seeking a dependable and personable Medical Assistant / Medical Receptionist to join our team. This position combines front-desk responsibilities with clinical support and is ideal for someone who has experience working in a physician's office or outpatient medical setting. We are looking for someone who is organized, comfortable communicating with patients, and able to work efficiently in a busy medical office. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required. Prior medical office experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and provide a friendly, professional experience
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out
  • Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments
  • Answer incoming patient calls and route messages appropriately
  • Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information
  • Maintain accurate information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Assist with referrals, medical records, forms, and other administrative tasks
  • Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
  • Obtain and document vital signs as needed
  • Assist physicians and providers with routine clinical activities
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient front office and clinical environment
  • Work closely with physicians, providers, and other members of the medical office team QualificationsRequired
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Excellent communication and patient-service skills
  • Professional and friendly phone etiquette
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy medical office
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team Strongly Preferred
  • Previous experience in a physician's office, medical practice, or outpatient healthcare setting
  • Medical Assistant or Medical Receptionist experience
  • Experience with patient scheduling and check-in/check-out
  • Familiarity with health insurance and eligibility verification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system
