We are seeking a dedicated and skilled dermatology medical assistant to join our new dermatology office, led by a physician with over 20 years of experience in the field. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and infection control protocols. The dermatology medical assistant will work closely with the providers and other medical professionals in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will assist in the surgical, general, and cosmetic dermatology. This will include all clinical aspects of patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while maintaining high standards of care.

Duties:

Prepare patients for their appointment by obtaining medical histories, explaining procedures ( surgical and cosmetic), and ensuring they are comfortable. Assist the provider during surgical procedures, including preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment. Administer lidocaine as directed by the provider in preparation for surgery. Remove sutures and provide all necessary wound care as directed by provider. Dressing changes and post op care instructions. Monitor and provide necessary support to patients during and after procedures. Complete chart notes and documentation accurately for the provider to review and sign-off. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Sterilize and organize surgical instruments and supplies. Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and communications with patients. Stock and clean examination and procedure rooms after every patient and at the end of each day to ensure readiness for the next patient. Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families. Dermatology Medical Assistant Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent a must; certification as a medical assistant preferred. Experience in a dermatology or surgical setting, particularly in Mohs surgery, is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
