Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Family Medicine and Cardiology. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical support, patient care, and medical administrative tasks within outpatient settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient services. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort. Assist providers with clinical tasks such as administering medications and performing basic procedures as needed. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information and treatment plans accurately. Assist with ICD coding and documentation to ensure proper billing and compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit. Skills Knowledge of cardiology, family medicine and outpatient care, and geriatrics is highly desirable. Proficiency in EHR systems and familiarity with medical terminology are essential for accurate documentation. Experience with medication administration, vital signs collection, and basic physiology knowledge are required. Prior clinic experience in cariology or a primary care setting is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inpatient and outpatient settings. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Pay:
$17.50 - $21.00 per hour
