Job Description

Launch your healthcare career through Gifford's paid Medical Assistant Training Program! This comprehensive, earn-while-you-learn program is designed for individuals who are passionate about patient care and are looking to become nationally certified as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). Our next cohort begins September 8, 2026. The program is up to 38 weeks in length and combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience in our medical practices. During the first 14 weeks, participants spend part of each day in the classroom learning foundational medical assisting concepts and part of each day applying those skills in a clinical setting. After successfully completing the initial coursework and passing the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification exam, participants continue with approximately 24 weeks of full-time clinical training under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals. Throughout the program, participants receive instruction in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, infection prevention, patient care, vital signs, phlebotomy, medical records, insurance and front-office procedures, ethics, and other essential medical assisting skills. Training includes NHA curriculum materials, practice exams, and instruction from Gifford subject matter experts. Upon successful completion of the program and achievement of CCMA certification, participants will transition into a Medical Assistant position within Gifford. This program represents a significant investment in your professional development, and we are seeking individuals who are committed to building a long-term career with Gifford. Participants are expected to remain employed with Gifford for a minimum of two years following successful completion of the program.
