Job Description

Medical Assistant — Concierge Primary Care Practice South Burlington, VT | ~32 hours/week | 3 weeks PTO | Retirement benefits About the Role We're looking for a capable, efficient, and flexible Medical Assistant to join our small, low-key concierge primary care practice. You'll support two well-seasoned providers caring for roughly 500 adult patients — one established, one newer and growing, with the combined panel expected to reach close to 700 patients over time. A seasoned nurse shares the same responsibilities alongside you, so you'll always have someone to cover vacation time, share problem-solving, and trade ideas with day to day. If you like variety, a genuine team feel, and a practice that prioritizes doing primary care well over doing it fast, this is a great fit. What You'll Do Clinical support
  • Phlebotomy and specimen handling
  • EKGs
  • Vaccine management and administration
  • Cerumen disimpaction
  • Chart prep and patient questionnaires
  • Phone triage and medication refill processing Administrative & practice support
  • Scheduling and appointment coordination
  • Ordering and inventory organization
  • EHR troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Paperwork and documentation
  • Friendly, attentive front-line patient service What We're Looking For The single most important thing is fit — the right attitude and work ethic matter more than checking every box. That said, you'll do best here if you bring:
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and comfort working independently
  • Solid computer/EHR skills
  • Closed-loop communication — you follow through and make sure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Prior medical assistant experience (phlebotomy and EKG experience a plus) Why This Practice
  • A small, close-knit office where you're not a number
  • Direct mentorship and collaboration with two experienced providers and a fellow nurse
  • Room to grow as the practice grows
  • 3 weeks PTO and retirement benefits
  • A workplace that values quality of care over volume
