Timberlane Lane Pediatrics is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in our South Burlington office. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in providing support to healthcare professionals, ensuring efficient patient care delivery, and maintaining a smooth clinic operation. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in medical terminology, outpatient procedures, and clinic operations.

Duties:

Both Administrative and Clinical Duties required.

• Assist healthcare providers in conducting patient assessments and examinations
• Perform basic clinical procedures such as greeting patients, taking vital signs, assist Physicians during patient exams, collect lab specimens, blood draws, POC testing, and administering vaccinations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems
• Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare facilities as needed
• Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing medical records
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Participate in continuous training to stay up to date on medical best practices
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care

Skills:

• Knowledge in medical terminology and coding
• Knowledge in basic vital signs
• Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations and pediatrics
• Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patient care
• Computer experience required.
