Job Description
- Job Summary and Responsibilities
- As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.
- Patient Intake & Clinical Support
- Greet and prepare patients, collect vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and assist with examinations and patient mobility. +
- Clinical Procedures & Testing
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, basic laboratory procedures, administer approved medications, communicate lab results, and support diagnostic testing. +
- Medical Documentation & Record Management
- Document patient encounters, update electronic medical records, review records for accuracy, and ensure compliance with legal and confidentiality requirements. +
- Care Coordination & Scheduling
- Schedule appointments, diagnostic services, referrals, and coordinate patient flow and follow-up care across departments and providers. +
- Clinic Operations & Inventory Management
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintain exam rooms, manage supplies and equipment, and ensure a safe, organized clinical environment. +
- Patient Communication & Administrative Support
- Provide patient education, handle telephone communications, verify insurance, process registrations, collect payments, and resolve routine issues while escalating concerns as needed.
